A MESSAGE FROM PTSA ADVOCACY CHAIR, SUSAN BAIRD-JOSHI
The LWSD Board had a study session Monday, January 11, 2016, regarding the April bond measure.
At the Monday, Jan. 25 Board meeting they will vote on the final bond. Barring any disagreement among the Board members, the bond measure should pass.

The Board packet with the official bond language is on Board calendar web site.

Scroll down to page 95. There's no mention of keeping the JHS field house or pool. But this is what I've heard through reliable channels, as well.

To make our concerns known about including JHS in the bond and keeping the Field House and Pool, I suggest the following:

1) Email your Board representative.  (Or email them all.) Here's the map showing the Director coverage areas.

Most of us will be in District One or Three:
Eric Laliberte -- Director, District One,  elaliberte@lwsd.org; west of I-405, south to around Juanita Bay Park. He took Jacki Pendergrass' position.
Nancy Bernard, President -- Director, District Three, nbernard@lwsd.org; east of I-405 to Sammamish River, south to about Old Redmond Road.

2) Attend the Jan. 25 Board meeting. There's a public comment period at the beginning of Board meetings. It helps to have people sign in and speak in favor. The Board meetings are televised. Instant visibility.  We can also ask them to go on public record to keep the Field House and Pool.
